Ceftaroline fosamil for injection is contraindicated in patients with known serious hypersensitivity to ceftaroline or other members of the cephalosporin class. Serious hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions have been reported with beta-lactam antibacterial drugs, including ceftaroline.
